My speech about poaching

Kia ora, Why is poaching bad? I personally think know I obviously think it's revolting! Now I don't know about you but I definitely think it is. Some of the most exciting and mysterious animals are being killed by poachers, and for what reason? I’ll tell you why! greed and money. i've researched that some people poach sea creatures like sharks turtles whales and dolphins. With great white sharks, they cut off there fins and flippers just to make soup! Then throw almost the whole animal back into the sea to slowly drift down to the bottom of the ocean and die because without their fins they can’t swim so oxygen can’t flow through their gills. there is a word cald bushmeat- its means that poor or rich people eat the meat from almost the whole animal that they kill aloso over 1,000 Rhinos or elephants have been killed from it all of last year! in kenya elephant rhinos, hippos, lions, ,and other animals are being poached so they can either be made into mats pillowcases even blankets! Now that's a lot of animals if you ask me. Most of the time poachers hollow out rinow horns and elephant tusks to make knife holders or billiard boards to sell did you know. A rhino's horn is up to about $60,000 a killow! Can you believe that! I've also seen in a book a photo of elephant tusks jumbled up in a massive piele slowly burning to ashes! This is what good people do. They take them off the bad guys who poach and burn them so they cant sell them in the black markets! That is why there are zoos. Most zoos keep all the different types of animals in special enclosures so they can't get poached by those revolting poachers. China is a popular place to poach but they mainly just buy everything. the animals such as lions tigers and pandas are sometimes used for medical medicines made of their own claws I obviously think people should stop poaching and take care of all things including all the different types of Animals! And just think one day you might have kids of your own, they will probably know everything about them bud never get a chance to see them. Believe me, you don't want that to happen And hey it's really up to you if you don't want to see your kids grow up to know nothing about animals then you should try. try and stop those horrible poachers from poaching So please help me take care of the environment everywhere and anywhere you go. Kia ora Hapa I'm, Leah. Wow knocked my socks off with that photo. When I look at it I just want to pull it out, jump in. I don't mean to be rude but I think you should do a little bit more writing on it. don't get me wrong it was beautiful but I only saw a photo of a wave and a tiny bit of writing Which made it a bit boring maby you could jas it up a bit don't you think. What have you been learning this week?
